Introduction to Slovakia
On this trip we only visited the eastern part of Slovakia, we left Poland for Lipsky Makulas which looks like an excellent holiday resort with mountains and lakes but the weather was miserable and the clouds hid the beautiful mountains. On the plus side we stayed at an excellent campsite at Villa Betula which was a small hotel with camping at the back. Camping here was not cheap (€20 a night) but the facilities were excellent and we would recommend it. You could also eat in the hotels rather smart restaurant.
Our trip was shorter than we intended because the weather was so miserable and campsites pretty scarce. Better weather is essential as it is an outdoors sort of place.
